Bill Daily's only screen writing credit

"Jeannie, the Matchmaker" was only episode scripted by Bill Daily, in collaboration with Don Richman, and the lone writing credit of his entire career. The now married Tony hasn't any more time to spend with old buddy Roger, who feels left out and alone. Jeannie decides to play her part in getting a wife for him, finding a computer match in Laverne Sedelko (Elaine Giftos), while General Schaeffer asks Major Nelson to fix up Roger with his niece Patricia (Janis Hanson). Patricia isn't the shy, demure type, instantly hitting it off with Roger, so Jeannie serves her a Mickey Finn to clear the way for Laverne. After Laverne passes out from the same drink, General Schaeffer arrives with the Bellows, leading into some frantic situations trying to hide Patricia's condition from her stern uncle. Gorgeous Elaine Giftos made her sitcom debut in this episode, following Farrah Fawcett's two entries. Watch the scene where Jeannie blinks a wall in front of Tony, improvising a kiss to hide the very real blood on his lip from falling backwards.
