This is another one of my favorite episodes of the show and the fact part of this is written by one of my favorite comic writers Marv Wolfman makes this all the better; I honestly never thought he'd ever write for this kind of show but same can be said for a lot of other writers out there.
It's sort of a buddy buddy story which is cool as the buddy cop subgenere was a big thing back in the 80's , so what better pair up then to have a Misfit and Hologram come together. We see that both Kimber and Stormer feel under-appreciated as the band members in both bands are practically ego tripping, though I'll admit it's rather strange that Jem and the Holograms would ego trip as well but when it comes to fame and success who's to say it wouldn't get to their heads a bit.
Like the scene at the club when both meet up, though at the beginning we hear this really bad song from a band called the Lounge Lizards and I remember thinking "what the hell is this crap!?" I'm not kidding that song was terrible though it got one detail right the song is broken. In a way that just all the more wants us to see both Kimber and Stormer play because their both the real deal and it's great the song they sing "I'm okay" is beautiful it's one of my favorite songs from the show; and of course that song cemented the bond both have formed.
I really love how both play out you really buy into their growing friendship which makes you all the more on their side, both really aren't that different despite on different sides of the spectrum as we see do have things in common, as we see both are people that are trying to come out on there own, they have a big dream together, they want to make music and put it out there.
But like most partner/friendships it's a bumpy road as they have several obstacles they have to deal with. From Eric Ramand trying to as usual sabotage their efforts for his own greedy means as well as the Holograms and The Misfits trying to break them up to get them back. However they underestimate both of them, because no mater what they do they'll never let their dreams and friendship be swayed.
