...this is one of the best episodes in the entire series. Probably coming at number 5. It's hilarious, weird, and the payoff is incredible at the end. The first time I watched this episode was with my friends, and we were all laughing our -sses off. 8.9/10.

A comedic antidote to the heartbreaking episodes

I don't see this, or any episodes in cowboy bebop as filler because the show isn't very plot focused in the first place. The incredible thing about this show is that it tackles so many different genres and tones, that any episode that changes the genre or tone is important to the show.
What I'm trying to say is cowboy bebop wouldn't be cowboy bebop without mushroom samba and its an incredible episode of television.

This is hilariously brilliant - a strange experiment of an episode. It's also surprisingly complex and well directed for one of the comedic episodes; the action sequence is IMMACULATE with all its layers and characters. It's an episode you can really indulge in because each aspect and scene is just so enjoyable.
This is what filler should be - arguably even better than the good stuff.

My favorite episode of the bunch!

Every time I watch this episode I laugh so hard I die. "Who ever knew the secrets of the universe were so simple. 😂😂
This show is just the best in every way.
I love Edward and Ein together they make me laugh and smile.
I would watch this episode until I turn blue in the face.
Black comedy, Drama, action, Chase Scenes, and mushrooms. What more could you ask for in bebop? Ballad of Fallen angels is good but this is just masterful in every way this should have been the whole show. In all serious I love this episode it's my favorite of the whole show it cheered me up during a hard time in my life. Also I just wanted to say Easy Come Easy go cowboy.

Feels like a filler

All Ed centered episodes feel like filler.
Character is a bit too over the top and loud
The episode in general is about the crew not having anything to eat and Ed goes on an adventure to find food. You could well skip this episode and not have missed anything.
All that aside, the drawing and the music made it an ok watch, but left me wanting more.
