A strange being called The Zarn appears in the Land Of The Lost.

I am amazed, and frankly a bit sad, to find I am the first to review this wonderful first episode with The Zarn in Land Of The Lost.

Okay, we are talking about a very low budget 1970s series that does not get reruns...at least in my country (Australia). But it is on DVD and YouTube!

So here we go with the review. Firstly, The Zarn creature is nothing more than a visual effect shaped like a human being but made up of glowing Christmas tree lights. He talks in a very cultured voice that sounds like Robby The Robot in Forbidden Planet (1956)...that is because it is the same voice artist from Forbidden Planet: Marvin Miller.

His dialogue is perfectly spoken and very memorable and despite the total cheapness of the effect to make him happen: the viewer is totally won over by The Zarn creature! He just seems different and better than other Land Of The Lost creatures.

In fact The Zarn is the most memorable thing to come out of the three seasons of Land Of The Lost! He returns in two more second season episodes (Gravity Storm and Baby Sitter).
