Warning: Spoilers
Larry (Garry Shandling, sublimely antsy as ever) has troubling dealing with Francine's (a superb portrayal by Kathryn Harrold) independence. Moreover, Hank (the always excellent Jeffrey Tambor) takes issue with brash new bandleader Jake Woodward (sharply played by Gary Kemp), who Hank thinks is trying to upstage him.

Larry's trademark neediness and narcissism get full reign in this episode; it's certainly admirable that Shandling isn't afraid to portray Larry as a selfish and whiny jerk who comes across here as less than appealing. Hank's customary insecurity likewise gets a hysterical workout, with his sparring and confrontation scenes with Woodward providing some wickedly funny and edgy moments. A fine show.
