John Anderson was great in this episode. He's one of my favorite character actors. He plays the bad guy so well! Actually, Anderson played a very similar role in the first season of The Rifleman. He may have actually done both roles around the same time.
I love when the put Civil War twists into these shows. From the way the television shows talk, Andersonville was the worst prison camp.
And again, I must declare that Tess is so cute! It was nice seeing this tender side of Sam. After all she'd been through, Tess needed someone to love her and care for her. But it seems her attitude took a 180 - from rough to sweet and caring...it was a bit too fast in my opinion...
Anyways, another good episode. You can't go wrong with John Anderson.
