The Innocents
Prismark1015 February 2024
Robert Vaughn who was the bespectacled dude in the previous episode returns again in this story bu as a different character.

He plays gambler Ross Drake married to actress Connie Drake. Both are due to go to San Francisco.

Only after the death of another gambler who beat Ross of a lot of money. Ross is accused of murder and many townsfolk want to lynch him.

Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart takes Ross into custody. He pleads to Buckhart of his innocence.

Buckhar decides to take Ross to another town to stand trial. Only Connie decides to take matters in her own hands.

It really is a case of whether Ross is innocent or not. Maybe Ross is taking a gamble but he certainly shows his hand during the course of this episode. Well acted by Vaughn. Maybe he had crooked deck.

That surprised me!

Warning: Spoilers
I REALLY REALLY thought he was innocent! I guess you can't tell about some people. Okay, this was interesting. When I was reading the credits and saw that Robert Vaughn was in this one as well, I thought "It's too soon! He was just in the last episode." But it worked out BEAUTIFULLY!!!

Robert Vaughn looked like a totally different person, and the character's personality was completely different so it worked very well! I honestly felt they were two entirely different people.

I think Sam forgot that he was the deputy marshal and was responsible for Ross. He should have never let Connie get close to that rifle! He was usually so careful, but I reckon he got comfortable after seeing their sincerity the night before.

Another GREAT episode. I am totally loving this series.
