Elderly town marshal Griff Allison is about to retire and open a gunsmith shop with his young grandson. Johnny. But The Douglas Gang is terrorizing the countryside while staying one jump ahead of The Ranger and Tonto. The gang robs the bank and Griff is blinded by one of their bullets. The Ranger and Tonto have to help their old friend Griff deal with his blindness while pursuing the Douglas gang at the same time. That's a tall order for our heroes. This is episode 4 of the color season and features the same supporting players as episode 2 of this season. Ron Hagerthy, Tudor Owen, John Beradino, and Mickey Simpson all in both episodes. Will Wright plays Griff and he really stands out and makes the episode an outstanding one.
