Tonto's Courage Is His Faith In His Friend
hogwrassler15 September 2020
The Ranger and Tonto return horses stolen By a couple of apaches from rancher Pearson, but Pearson shoots the chief in the back because of his hatred for all Indians. The chief mistakenly identifies the Ranger as his assailant and the chief's son, Red Cloud (a sergeant at Fort Apache) vows revenge on the Ranger. He deserts from the army and he and a few Apache warriors capture the Ranger and Tonto. Tonto volunteers to remain as a hostage so that the Ranger can bring Pearson to justice. If he fails, Tonto will be killed and the Apaches will go on the warpath. The Lone Ranger always presented a fair picture of the Indians. There could be individual Indian villains, but the people as a whole were always presented sympathetically. This is another good color episode.
