That verse means also the creation of an instant classic, definitely in the top 10 of the best episodes of the series. Susie needs money to buy a crib for the baby so she starts an animal babysitting service, initially only taking care of an aquarium of tropical fish. But thanks to Kay and Eve's interference, she's soon taken care of a noisy myna bird, pregnant cats, rabbits and a huge dog, and when she is too sick to continue, Kay and Eve must take over. Hilarity is abound as Roger can't sleep with the minor bird, Herb is disturbed by the pregnant pooch, and the cat goes into labor while hidden. Then there's the last minute arrival of another pet, putting the candle on this very funny cake.

Before the show comes to an end, an added bonus on the DVD has Joanne Worley singing a Bold commercial, rivaling Kay Ballard for her brassiness. Mel Blanc provides the voice of the minor bird, getting laughs with every line, reminding me of when he did the same thing in the Lucille Ball comedy "The Fuller Brush Girl". The abundance of cute animals will be a visual treat, and the fact that the mothers never seem to learn their lesson is a nice little twist as well. 60's TV comedy wasn't necessarily always original, but it when it was done well, like this episode, they really stand the test of time.

Pet Sitters In Law

Suzie earns a few extra bucks minding some fish while the owner is away, Eve and Kaye then advertise a pet sitting service for more customers.

Funny episode as the families are soon overrun with hamsters, birds, rabbits and a St Bernard about to have puppies. There is a talking myna bird named David (voiced by Mel Blanc) who keeps Kaye and Roger up all night. My favorite scene (which I clearly remember from my childhood) has Kaye singing a lullaby to it and ends with "Good night David" and he replies "Good night Chet" (reference to the nightly news team of Chet Huntley and David Brinkley).
