Maybe she won just a little too soon.

Warning: Spoilers
After only one year on FYI, Corky beats out Murphy, Frank and some other newscasting legends for the Humboldt award, and begins to take it far too seriously. She begins to act like a diva at work, makes demands over office size and resents being told that she can ask for help in getting the top story of the week together. Eventually she shows up at Murphy's where the emotional toll that has been taken causes her to break down. It's too bad that the show didn't take extra steps to indicate why she was chosen over the others, something humiliating that would truly humble her, but Faith Ford is very funny and showy in presenting Corky's ego rising and its inevitable collapse. With Murphy going through all of her awards, we get to see her claim that it's really all about the work collapse as her need for recognition is revealed as well.
