Only a soap opera writer could put together an episode like this. Credit Rocci Chatfield, best known for DAYS OF OUR LIVES and GENERATIONS. She could spin a good old fashioned tale.
Pretty Brenda Benet, quite popular on tv at the time in dramatic roles, plays Maureen, the new secretary at the plant who is very attentive to Rob. Of course, Robbie is feeling no pain -- until Katie pays a visit to the office. She naturally has a talk with Barbara, who gives her some good step mom advice --- until Maureen is watching over Steve, who has some problems with his feet.
A minor soap opera, if not a hint of LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE. And when you come down to it; had Rob and Steve both not been married... would Maureen ever, ever have met them in the first place???
A neat little episode, just fun to watch. I agree with the last reviewer, Brenda Benet is definitely the star, later gaining much attention for her marriage to actor Bill Bixby.
