Oscar vs Sure Shot Wilson
Jimmy_the_Gent46 November 2017
Felix wants Oscar to arrange a Monte Carlo night to raise money for his opera group.

At the Monte Carlo night, the club loses all the money, Felix blames Oscar for inviting professional gamblers. One of them Arnold (Louis Guss) demands that they "let it ride" at the roulette table. Felix won't allow it and takes the ball off the wheel, Arnold tells him if he doesn't put back the ball he will use Felix's eye! Oscar later gets money owed to him from Arnold. Oscar then is challenged to a pool match by Sure Shot Wilson (Stanley Adams)and says he can win the money for the opera group. Adams is very funny as the pool shark with a nagging cough.

Top notch

Warning: Spoilers
Everything is here. The opera club at the beginning and "Vivian" complaining about her wig to the Monte Carlo night to the end in the pool hall and Oscar (Jack Klugman) winning all the money so Felix (Tony Randall) can put on Madame Butterfly.

Note: When Oscar Explains to Felix that he was challenged to a pool contest listen carefully and it will tell you when the episode was filmed (around). Because Felix says I'm making your favorite cookies and Oscar says in the shape of a horses head, a reference to the Godfather that came out the year before this episode aired.

Thanks James.

P. S. The other review does a good job saying the names and the like for the episode.
