Too preposterous to let it go...

Warning: Spoilers
I love this series and I usually forgive many of the obvious plot holes, the use of obvious stock footage, stitching together battle scenes with shots from previous episodes, the incredible ineptitude of the German army etc...but not this time.

Until now, Moffitt has always been the one chosen to pose as a member of the enemy because he's the one who speaks German. So when Troy infiltrates the enemy, posing as a German courier, how convenient is it that no one utters a single word of German to him? Actor Christopher George doesn't even attempt to mask his American accent while speaking with Colonel Gerschon and Lieutenant Klundt. Colonel Klink and company would have been far more suited to play the hapless Germans in this episode. This one is really a mess.

No German spoken here

Warning: Spoilers
This show should always be taken with a grain of salt. I enjoyed it as a kid and I'm still entertained now but I have to agree with the first reviewer. There are always a lot of holes in each episode but overlooking the language snafu in this one is too much.

Troy speaks no German and that has been well established. In fact, in the preceding episode that almost got him and Moffitt killed in a German field hospital. So why is he undercover here and how is he pulling it off?

They should have used Moffitt but, of course, Chris George is the star. This episode is just too out of hand to pass without comment. I can't recommend it.
