While camping for the night the drovers come upon a woman dressed in Indian garment, but she is soon discovered to be white. She run away from the Cheyenne led by Michael Pate and the Cheyenne who have had a run of bad luck consider the possessed woman to be a witch and want her killed.
Susan Kohner is the woman and she doesn't remember much of anything, but certain snatches of reality come up on her. Eric Fleming's drovers are going to have trouble with the Cheyenne if they don't give her up.
One in particular wants her given up. Royal Dano really stands out in this story. He's a former hellraiser who has taken up religion and there's nothing like the zeal of a convert. He's all for letting the Cheyenne have her as he feels he has a lot of sinning to make up for before he departs this life.
Of course we discover what is the matter which I will not reveal. Of the regulars this episode belongs to Paul Brinegar whom Kohner takes a liking to and Wishbone can deal with her.
But you won't forget Royal Dano from this episode.
