This Rawhide story has Clint Eastwood rescuing 3 soldiers the remnants of a
patrol from Comanches who Eric Fleming has just paid off for safe passage through their territory. Won't be their territory much longer as the USA is about
to break another treaty which was what said patrol was doing.
The soldiers were Sgt. James Whitmore, Cpl. Steve Brodie, and Pvt. John Doucette and Whitmore is what they call a galvanized yankee, one who was a Confederate prisoner who got released to fight Indians. Not popular with a group of southerners like the drovers. Clint Eastwood really has it in for Whitmore.
Whitmore who dominates this episode proves while he might have a mean and disagreeable personality he is all aoldier.
Solid episode and a must for James Wjhitmore fans.
