Whatever invisible appeal evil-grinning Gerald Mohr has with all those oversized teeth, it's enough to make guest star Nina Foch, her younger sister, and scout Pete Nolan's old flame fall helplessly in love with him -- to the point that he is easily able to murder the last two and is on the point of doing the same to Nina herself when he is gunned down by Gil Favor and Rowdy Yates. A wolver, and a worthless gambler, it definitely isn't money Gerald has -- In fact his women bend over backwards to give him money. Anyway, it all adds up to a good show, forgiving the sometimes obvious substitution of German Shepherds and cross-bred pet canines for the real thing. Highlights are Nina's performance, convincingly walking the tightrope between strong-lady rancher and flattered vulnerable "older" woman; and Sheb Wooley (as Pete Nolan) impressive too, given his rare chance, as a heartbroken man face-slapped for not selflessly pursuing this bar-lady for more than the five years he did, and thrown over for the likes of a ruthless bad guy who is "all man".
