Small Pox and quarantine with others
ctyankee125 September 2015
This series is good but very tense at time. It has bossy women most of them not married. The village is filled with people that go to church but are not always kind. There are gossips and children that are bullies.

Sara is dared to go into a house owned by a man that does not want to bother with anyone. The man Alexander Abraham owns the house. A woman named Rachel Lynde is very strict and starts teaching boys Sunday School. She is more like a dictator, expects a lot and is demanding. She also goes to the Alexander house because she wants to find a boy that did not show up at Sunday School. Sara is on the second floor with Felix. The branch of a tree broke and her and Felix are stuck in the house. Rachel trips on the porch of the old house and falls into the house first floor and is yelled at by Mr Alexander. It turns out the boy they were looking for has small pox and is being treated somewhere else and the doctor quarantines Ms Lynde, Mr Alexander, Sara and Felix. None of them want to be together. The house is dirty and there is a dog called Mr Riley.

No body can leave the house for at least two weeks. During this time Ms Lynde shows what a good housekeeper she can be and teaches the kids to do things they are not used to. Sara learns how to bake. She respect Ms Lynde and Mr Alexander. Sara is mean to no one. She is a rich girl used to being served and was sent to live in Avonlea by her father who is financial trouble.

By the end of this episode they start to see the good things about each other. Ms Lynde still has a sharp tongue but a good heart and is asked by Mr Alexander to come and visit.

Nice ending.
