THE WONDERFUL WAR is a lively Middle Eastern episode of THE SAINT in which Templar becomes involved in a sinister coup and must help a young prince regain his kingdom. This is as action-packed as it got for a black and white episode, and there's even a scimitar fight at one point. The lovely Suzanna Leigh (later of Hammer and Amicus fame) is the one who calls in Templar's aid, while Noel Purcell is gruff and lively, and Alfred Burke thoroughly nasty.
