Steve Austin(Lee Majors) is piloting a plane when he suffers a malfunction in his bionic arm that causes him to eject. After landing, he wanders onto a road, suffering from amnesia, and befriends a woman named Angie Walker(played by Sharon Farrell) who runs an experimental home for older patients who can no longer handle society. Unfortunately, local townspeople led by an evil grocery store owner named Horace(played by Robert Donner) will do anything to force them out, including murder, and it is a race against time if Oscar Goldman(Richard Anderson) can get him the help he needs... Thoughtful and unique episode would have worked just as well on "The Incredible Hulk", with the wandering man/super strength theme.

Steve takes on rural rednecks. One of the best.

A great episode. Steve takes on rural extreme right wingers here. He shows their narrow minded bigotry up for what it is.
This story is about what happens when communities turn a blind eye to intolerances.
I tend not to tell the story of films and TV shows in my reviews as people need to watch for themselves. I prefer to review the content itself and the story behind the story.
Steve is an altruist. He believes in the greater good. He was an anachronism in the USA back in the 70s. Todays world is even more selfish and right wing. Consequently, altruism is a total anathema to most people.
We need the Steve Austins even more today.
Guess what?
You don't need to be Bionic to care and be altruistic.
