Craziest & Most Humorous Episode Of The Season
ccthemovieman-115 June 2007
This is the wildest episode I have seen so far and the beginning is especially a real hoot: a bunch of crazy-shaped Star Wars-type aliens fighting a biker-bounty hunter. The latter's dialog is tremendous. The guy is crude, rude and very funny. He winds up, however, getting hired by the "ultimate bounty hunter - "The Preserver," some round-shaped alien with amazing powers. His job: bring back "that Kryptonian (Superman) to add to my collection of one-of-a-kind creatures of the universe."

So, "Lobo" or, as he calls himself: "The Main Man," heads out on his motorcycle-space ship (complete with skulls - the guy looks like an Oakland Raiders fan) to Earth to grab Superman. This is the most entertaining villain so far in this animated TV adventure series. Brad Garrett does a nice job voicing "Lobo."

Battles ensue and Superman winds up chasing him into space where the "The Preserver" traps both parties, intending to keep both in his elaborate "zoo."

Superman is trapped and his powers are taken away by a special light inside his cage. How will get out of this? Will Lobo escape?

To be continued.....

Again a Villain Fooled by a Villain, Superman vs. Lobo and one of the funniest dialogues of the series; ---You are a sick man, Kent!--- Warning: Spoilers
Even when I am not particularly fond of Lobo and the characters like him, I must admit that these two episodes are by far some of the best of this animated series. Being one of the few...and later not so few... characters that are powerful enough as to be a match for Superman, his presence is very important as it must be clearly stated that Superman will have to use his ingenuity to defeat this and other enemies just as every other hero, as he will not always be the strongest around.

In this episode, we met both the funniest villain of all and enjoyed one of the funniest dialogues between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, where he basically REVEALS HER ALL THE TRUTH about him being Superman and she just ignores the idea taking it as a very bad joke, ---"You are a sick man, Kent""" - she said.

In today's episode, we have once again a villain having been fooled by another villain like in episode 7. The "Preserver", that crazy intergalactic entity that "paid" LOBO to deliver Superman to him in order to have him in his collection because of being the last Kryptonian, later manages to capture Lobo too, because of being the Last of the Czarnians. Once again, as I said, we had a villain fooled by a villain, just like in the episode " The Way Of All Flesh".

As one more point to speak about Lobo, we must say he was a "summoned" character to star in the " Marvel vs. DC" limited series where he was confronted with one of the most famous characters of Marvel: Wolverine.

Thanks for reading.

As a diehard fan of Lobo, I was underwhelmed.

I have read a lot of Lobo comics and watched the TV-MA web cartoon and when I saw a family friendly Lobo, I was bewildered. Why not just have a similar character without Lobo's name? Lobo is supposed to be adult oriented, not watered down. I'd rather watch the web cartoon instead of these two Superman episodes.
