Reaching for the end of the series

The writers' arms grew long for the story lines that follow. However, it is an imaginative way to fill the tens years from the surrender of Solan to the beginning of the redemptive journey that leads to Xena meeting her successor and soulmate. While the story by the author of 'Beowulf' is loosely related to this story line, the writers and producers of the show have often taken liberties. How surprised are we?

The value of this story line comes in the plausibility, if someone puts their preconceptions aside and takes time to appreciate the Xena-story for what it is: teenage-victim-turned-warlord-turned-penitent-avenger-who-transforms-her-partner-into-a-warrior-defender.

Apparently the writers gave up by this time

Powering through this season. The ending of season five was one huge train wreck and some of the worst writing / plot lines I have witnessed in any TV show. I don't think this is a spoiler, you can see it in the EP thumbs. But, apparently now she was a valkyrie too? Would of loved to be part of that meeting when they offered up that absolute stinker. I also would of loved to know who agreed to it! Guess there is a good reason this show ended after this season. I am cringing knowing that the next couple EP's are going to be so poorly written and the plot holes will be as big as the Grand Canyon. Kind of wish I never watched season 6, it really kind of sucked.
