Too many questions and not enough answers

Warning: Spoilers
Jeff Duane is in the desert looking for water, as he finds a waterhole and is slaking his thirst a man rides in on his horse: that is, the horse rides in with a dead man on his back. Duane buries the man and gets on his horse which takes him to a ranch run by a tough man, Hugh Sanders, who at first wants Duane to move on but as Duane demonstrates his ability with his gun and fists, he is offered a job. Ray Lonsterh is desperate to get away from the ranch and hopes Duane will take her away. But after she sees him kissing her older sister Kate, she has doubts. But he does return and as he is trying to leave has a shoot out with one of the rancher's—Hugh Sanders—hired guns and Duane kills the gun man. Duane does get Ray off the ranch but she wants him to ride into town with her as he is a wanted man so he can stand for trial and really be a free man. Problem with this episode was far too many plot points and not enough exposition in thirty minutes to develop everything so while there is a hint of resolution for Duane—he decides to ride into town with Ray—there are a lot of unanswered questions.

Excellent Episode

Warning: Spoilers
I read a couple of reviews not understanding the ending of Man On The Run'. I am someone who detests unfinished plot lines, so if that was the case, I would hate 'Man On The Run'. Spoilers Ahead: Plot line 1: Jeff was able to take Ray away from the ranch without interruption. It was not without interruption. Bland's henchman tried to beat him to the draw and lost. Something Bland admitted he did not think.would happen. Also Kate was exposed as a murderer ( the rifle she had and the kind of bullet that Jeff recovered ( something even Bland did not realize)). Plot line 2: Jeff knew he would go to jail while awaiting trial ( he referred to jailhouse food to Ray). But he had Ray on his side and together they can get him a good lawyer, plus it helps his case turning himself in ( instead of being caught), finally, with Jeff and Ray exposing both Kate as a murderer and Bland as a cattle rustler, this will almost assure that Jeff will go free and end up with Ray. This was an excellent episode with a lot packed into it.10/10 stars.

A show that never finished a thought.

In an odd story, Jeff Duane is running from a town where he shot a man and is need of water. He comes up on a 'bad' water hole and all of the sudden a rider comes up that has been shot in the back and killed. In hopes of water he follows the rider's horse and comes up on a ranch farm that is owned by two sisters, Ray and Kate. There father has just died and now Kate is engaged to Lee Bland that wants to run the ranch for a place to raid other farmers and sell the cattle in Mexico. Kate is 'all in' on the deal but Ray wants nothing to do with the rustling and asks Duane to help her get away from Kate.

Even more odd, Lee then asks Duane to become a member of his gang and he agrees because Kate came-on to him. But he still has the plan of helping Ray escape the path that Bland is taking the ranch.

Too much going on in this episode. So much left, so many situations unclear. And even when the show was over, it ended in a matter that was so quick the viewer did not have time to react. There was just too many strange things in this program. Another strange event was when Duane shot one of the Bland's members in the arm then all of the sudden in the next scene they become the best of friends. Never understood that incident. Anyway, this was a show that never finished any story-line before moving to the next event.

mumbo jumbo

Scott brady always fancied himself as a handsome leading man but he didn't have the charm the women wanted so instead he came across better as the bad guy or outlaw and henchman ... this show was aimed at showing the hero side but it failed and alas, the femme fatale called him a yellow coward
