What a tremendous episode this one which begins in the most exciting way and then goes on in a lighter one, when our female lead is disguised as a man in order to hide from the mob who searches after her.
Pinky appears to be at the wrong place at the wrong time when she witnesses a gangland killing. So it also appears that the best way for her to escape in the safest way is to wear a sort of "uniform". I don't know exactly why, but I thought of Ginger Rogers seeing Dorothy Provine here, maybe because of Phil Karlson's TIGHT SPOT, with nearly the same topic. Anyway, the Pinky's - Provine - performance could have suited well to Rogers too. Amusing situations in the episode, as you can guess, with a girl dressed as a boy in a college. So, not an entirely noir feature.
