Joey and the Critic (#2.19)
ComedyFan201018 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Joey's movie is very successful and well liked, but there is one bad review for it and the critic even makes a joeysucks.com page. Joey goes to talk to him and turns out that it is a girl who is just jealous because her school crush is a Joey fan. Joey also hires Jimmy but it doesn't work out.

The Joey hater to be a little girl was actually a very funny idea, but it seems so weird that he would go fight with her. Well, I guess Joey does weird stuff.

Jimmy was fin as always, especially at his interview. I kind of wish he worked with Joey longer.

Joey And The Critic
vvaalleerriiaa27 June 2006
The episode is one of the most interesting ,I've seen! The story is about a very rude critic ,that Joey finds on the Internet. The critic manages to mount some very funny and embarrassing videos of Joey's auditions.Michael manages to hack the website of the secret critic. And when Joey visits the critic's house ,he finds out that it's an 11 year old GIRL!Meanwhile Alex breaks up with Deen and Joey tries to sneak in the situation ,but Alex keeps telling him that she wants to be just friends.Joey and the 11 year old girl start to be friends and tell each other about their love problems.

Another thing,Joey hires Jimmy as his assistant but Jimmy makes him work all day long and plan Joey's future for years! But this is just one of the enjoyable times you'll have when you watch episode 19 of Joey!

Jimmy and Joey-Kaylee friendship carry the episode
giannisbaltas16 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This is a really fun episode, that has 2 main storylines 1. Joey and Kaylee's elementary school friendship! Joey being dumber and dumber is not that entertaining anymore, but when he has been acting like a child, it is hilarious and sweet! And we have the extra element that Kaylee's dad is not worried at all about Joey hanging out with his 11 year old daughter, and rightfully so!

2. Maybe Jimmy's best episode. He is a crazy psychopath genius, a mixture of the Joker and Lex Luthor. It's the first time in his life he is enjoying his work, but he is so obsessed that he collides with Joey's laid back, lazy and dumb character in a hilarious way

One of the funniest episodes of the series. Some episodes are so good, that it's really a shame that the show was cancelled.

Yes, I am a bird. Wah, wah, wah

Warning: Spoilers
The episode predictably begins with the news that Alex and Dean have broken up, cueing again the will they/won't they storyline for her and Joey. It hasn't always been well written, but it did drive the show forward and its absence in the previous episodes was felt.

Adam Goldberg has gone from a guest star to almost being Matt LeBlanc's right hand man in these unaired episodes, and again is given lots to do here. The reason for his success is because A) he genuinely adds something different to the show, and B) Goldberg plays him so well. In contrast though he has all but relegated Drea De Matteo to a supporting role.

This episode also features one of the iconic moments from the show. Paulo Costanzo's Michael changing the water cylinders is very funny, and again highlights a comic talent that was underused at times within the show.

Although the main story feels rehashed from an episode of 'Friend's (with Joey befriending a young girl who is more mature than him), there is lots of fun to be had in this episode. As with episodes across the two years Joey flits between being smart/stupid inconsistently, and there are a few jokes here that are unworthy of the character.

Like a lot of these unaired episodes though 'Joey and the Critic' remains enjoyable enough.
