Jeffrey is expecting an interested buyer, Donald Carey (Matthew Tobin), for the difficult-to-sell Harper House. Jeffrey and Anne leave on separate matters and Helen is asked to show him the house. Misunderstanding Mr. Tobin and Helen's conversation, Stanley thinks they've gotten together for sex. To Jeffrey's shock, Helen sold "the white elephant" to Mr. Tobin. Anne insists Jeffrey give Helen a reasonable amount of commission- about half, in the form of an electric organ she's been wanting, but he is reluctant.
