That girl, who is she!!!!
wildsoundseries28 May 2006
I loved the girl in this film. She is so beautiful and not in that model way. But a real way. She just takes over the screen. I loved how the director shot her. Just a realistic and vulnerable way. She's a strong character but you see the tiny subtleties she portrays. Nice piece. Saw it at a film festival and it stood out from the rest. Black and White and Colour together. Usually doesn't work but it worked here. Going to look out for this director as he is interesting. Simple story told in a very unique way. There is always plenty of ways to show things. Hopefully this director can work on another film. And that girl Ginger. Can't wait to see her again.

black and white/color

I am interested in seeing movies with both black and white and color in it.

I heard this film had both formats and was a short at that. Is was a pretty good short film. I think it was shot in Toronto because I saw that big tower in the background. The black and white stuff had no dialogue and it was a reflective setting. Interesting. I liked the film and never got bored like most shorts you see at festivals.

I always wondered why people shoot short films. What do they get out of it? I guess I might have to do one if I'm going to be a director. I guess you can't just shoot a feature for the first time.

Reminded me of myself
augustiskillingme29 May 2006
The guy in the film reminded my of myself. He's a guy who can't let go. I think a lot of us guys are like this. We want it all and we want total closure from a girl. But a lot of girls just want to move on. It was cool in this film how they went back to the flashbacks of their relationships. It showed the stages of why these two people broke up. Fun little piece. I like the originality inside a very common story. One of the better shorts I saw at the film festival. I was taken in and a lot of shorts you sort of get distracted. But this film flew by in the quick 10 minutes and I was totally into these characters. Cool bridge shots too.

Pretty Good
embeddedfilm26 May 2006
I saw this film at a film festival in Oklahoma. It was really good and it stood out from the rest of them. I loved this whole people can't let go of past relationships thing. I think we all can relate to that. And the visuals of this film was great. I love the bridge they shot on. And then mixing it with black and white stuff was pretty cool. It seemed like these two characters were actual boyfriend and girlfriend. Their chemistry together was awesome. I'm looking out for this filmmaker. I think he's got some good stuff in him. He really balanced the line in this type of film. Films like these can get really sentimental but he really pulled it off fine. I especially liked the girl in it, Ginger Kearns. A fine talent.

Almost a great film
I really liked this film. But it just had some things in it that I wish would change. Was it the production value or what? The directing was fun, the actors were good and the story and dialog was good. But it just didn't grab you like great movies do. But it was almost there which puts this film in the 10% list. Its just you wished it put you over and totally took you in. I don't know what it was. Maybe it was the story, but I don't think so. Film is funny. You never know why certain films give it that edge. Interested to see what this director does next. He moves you but your still watching a film. You're not totally inside. But I guess he's young and he has a good chance to get there. That's for sure.
