Hilarious Family Comedy

I'd never heard of Henry Cho until we happened to be clicking through channels and saw just a few minutes of the show on it's initial airing. We liked it and decided to record it when it was on the next night. We watched it a day later and man is this guy hilarious! He's Korean by birth, but American in every aspect of the word. He has a well rounded routine that covers subjects for men and women of all ages. He is also clean in his routine, as he says on his own website, he just doesn't have a need for harsh language. You can tell his jokes in a church or at a dinner table. He's not new to the scene, but I think his career will really take off with the release of this 1 hour show... it is absolutely fabulous and I eagerly await his future releases!

Not exactly split your gut funny, but quite enjoyable.

It's hard to review stand-up videos. After all, apart from saying 'I liked it', what more can you say without revealing the jokes?! "Henry Cho: What's That Clickin' Noise?" features, you guessed it, Henry Cho--an unusual comic because he's a Southern Korean-American--and there just aren't many of those! So, naturally, he tells plenty of jokes about the South as well as his Korean background but also talks about marriage, children and his fictional friend, Jonly. Very few times during the film did I laugh out loud but it was pleasant and entertaining throughout. Also, it's one of the few stand-ups I've seen recently that I could let anyone watch it--my mother-in-law, kids or the easily offended. It does take skill not to resort of obscenities or blue humor for laughs. Well worth seeing.

Great CLEAN comic.

I've been a fan for years. Now, finally, an official release! Some material is from awhile ago ("what, you no have 2 quarter?"), but plenty is new.

Tells life from the perspective of a Korean, growing up in Tennessee. That's pretty funny, just thinking of it.

Not exactly word-for-word, but the message is there: "If you propose to someone, in a public way, make sure your name is on it. Don't just hang a banner at a baseball game saying 'Marry Me Cindy'. Every other guy at the game, who brought a Cindy is now sweating."

One only from Jonly Bonly?

Who was the crazy cat that gave Henry Cho's excellent comedy video a score of ONE? This is impossible! Could it have been done by "Jonly Bonly"?

After catching part of "What's That Clickin Noise" on the Comedy Channel my wife and I looked at each other and said, "Who is this guy?" We rented the video and enjoyed the entire show plus the great bonus footage filmed in Knoxville.

I have had it with foul mouth, rude, mean spirited comedians and their miserable excuse for humor, as witnessed on recent Comedy Channel Roasts. Apparently, these folks forgot that their only mission is to help us deal with the troubles and pains of everyday life and have instead chosen to add to our suffering. I will no longer encourage their efforts in any way and I have begun a one man boycott of their work. (You know who you are.)

However, perhaps now the pendulum has begun to move in the other direction, as evidenced by Henry Cho's recent work. It is suitable for the entire family and is brilliant. I don't give out many 10's but this is a solid 10.0. Excellent!

PS. "Jonly Bonly" is a character in Henry Cho's act.
