The start of the tenth series and there are some changes.
Jonathan Linsley who played Crusher left the series after losing a lot of weight for his health reasons. The death of Joe Gladwin meant no Wally Batty. So Nora is paired up with Ivy at the cafe. Unfortunately for Ivy, Nora thinks she has seen an ant.
Edie holds a coffee morning to riase money for a charity where the ladies feel sorry for Pearl because of Howard's philandering. Pearl tells the ladies that she started off married life with a book. In those days there were no pictures except one, a fertilised egg. She has never had an egg since.
Compo wonders why people do not feel blood rush to their feet when they stand up. This leads Seymour to conduct an experiment on a building site. He hangs Compo upside down and he slides off leaving his wellies behind.
Seymour then experiments on himself with a special double support harness, he ends up hanging about.
There is a scene at the pub where Compo thinks his eyeballs are sticking out. When Clegg and Seymour examine his eyes too closely, the landlord throws them out for being too close to each other. He tells them to go to one of these trendy pubs. Well who would think they fancy Compo?
