Compo is disturbed to see Nora Batty leaving the house with a suitcase. Compo is worried that she has left him. Ivy from the cafe is no help. When they later see flames in the kitchen, it is only Smiler who has burnt his toast, shame as Compo chucked water all over him. It is nice to see that Smiler is still the happy lodger with Nora. It also seems that Nora has gone away to look after an ill relative.
Edie immediately becomes suspicious when Wesley complements her about her kitchen. It seems Wesley has bought something from Auntie Wainwright, we think it is a dog but it is a vehicular contraption that helps you go up. When Wesley uses it, the fire brigade need to be called out. When Compo uses it to attempt to deliver flowers to Nora, I think the fire brigade were already on standby.
One think I noticed about this episode. I hope Pearl was not shopping in the supermarket that Marina works at. I expect there to be regular fireworks!
