A Very Creative Short Film
russgeary29 July 2007
I found this film to be very creative and imaginative. I feel good film making requires creativity and the willingness to take risks. This short film has that. To create a story taking place in France with tress as the main characters shows a lot of creativity and imagination. For me placing the film in France with French culture makes sense. I enjoyed the movie very much. Short films can explore many topics using risky and unusual approaches. This film allows that type of exploration. I look forward to seeing more short films like this at film festivals where independent film makers can explore and create without the restrictions of worrying about commercial success.

The Family Trees is full of humorous surprises, as having trees talking to each other!
edith-dume26 April 2007
It's such an inspiration the whole idea of planting trees to create a forest that will continue growing even after we leave this planet... And then, present it in such an aesthetic and artistic form and in a way that's so full of humorous and charming surprises: As having trees actually talk to each other!... Totally making us realize that besides the trees eternal shadows and peaceful beauty, they might also harbor their own feelings, their own thoughts and point of views, meanwhile they're watching from their apparent stillness, how the history of our world develops... This is the kind of film I want my future generations to watch and learn from and use it as an example of how to give back to 'mother nature' that wonderful life she so gracefully gave to all and each one of us...
