[8.5] The shades of colors

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 2: A very well-made series and episode with very good acting by all the main and supporting cast, enthralling and engaging vibe and flow and meticulous attention to details and people micro emotions.

The episode again has quality all over it, painted with colorful and grim shades of colors alike.

Supporting cast incredible so far

Amanda S is outstanding in this! Her flat emotionless delivery is spot on, the actor playing Larry Ellison is perfection telling Elizabeth she has to start firing people and she goes right back to the office and tries to be tough. You feel sorry for EH in this, "the mall is open but there ain't nobody in there shopping" Loving all the details in this and the entire cast is awesome.

The Dropout (2022)

Series

1st Season

Episode Two - Satori

This thing about the prototype not working and still getting investors, reminded me a lot of a woman who went on Shark Tank Brasil, and supposedly, her prototype had broken on the trip, but she was so good at public speaking that she managed to get everyone to invest in the project. Company, and to this day there are doubts as to whether it works or not, even though people buy the product.

I had never realized how similar Amanda Seyfried is to the president of Palmeiras, Leila Pereira.

I missed seeing something with Stephen Fry.

Nobody says "I love you" to the protagonist, right? Or at least repeats it when she says it to someone else. She told her mother and her mother didn't talk, while with her boyfriend, she also said "I love you" and he said "I know".

Episode two of the first season of the Miniseries The Dropout watched on May 25, 2024.

Rating: 5/10.

It now is established there are no likable people involved

Warning: Spoilers
It now is established there are no likable people involved in the story. Aside from the obvious issue of Liz being a scammer and Sunny being portrayed as creepy, some minor characters were portrayed in a way that captured what is thought about them. For example: Everyone knows Larry Ellison is an overrated dbag, but this episode showed him as he is imagined by his critics.

The problem with the episode is that is appears--at least at this point--to be attempting to make Liz a sympathetic young woman who was far too hopeful for her own good (instead of the scammer she is).
