Stan and Roger at the forefront of this episode was smart and the ham bits and mocking poetry were good, but this just felt like the kind of premise this show has done a dozen times before.

So, it was like o'clock in the morning and I was just watching The Simpsons because I was bored and couldn't sleep. Suddenly, YouTube decides that I might like something else and next thing I know, American Dad! is on. At first, I tried to go back to what I was previously watching, but when that didn't work I just gave up and decided to watch it...BIG MISTAKE. What ensued was honestly awful and just painful to watch. The main story is downright stupid with the whole 'Ham Club' and the other story isn't that much better... Now don't get me wrong, I've seen MacFarlane's other show Family Guy and even other episodes of the show here in question and they're fine...but this? There's just NO redeeming qualities to this episode, the stories are poorly executed, making all the characters seem incredibly stupid. It's not even remotely funny or interesting, just Stan and Roger taking turns POISONING the other members of the 'Ham Club' and Francine scaring a guy next door for no good reason... In my opinion, episodes like 'Hamerican Dad' should cease to exist, because there is just no purpose to them at all. However sadly, a lot of cartoons lately are taking this so-called 'easy way out' and dumbing down not just their characters but their audiences as well... Unfortunately, Nickelodeon's beloved Spongebob Squarepants isn't immune to this 'epidemic' so to speak, either. If the writers think that we want these kind of episodes than they're completely mistaken...
