A Christmas event run amok for sure, where inhibitions of Pierpoint get lower and lower. I'm holding out hope that season 2 will be an improvement. I kind of think Industry tries to emulate This Life, but with mixed success with a cocktail of drugs, beast with two backs, power, prestige

Eric's in deep water with the lockup (see previous episode) and it ain't pretty.

Ben Lloyd-Hughes (who plays Greg) has a resemblance to Justin Trudeau.

Nutcracker is a Christmas party episode where all the characters are in one place.

Obviously there will be debauchery, drugs and booze.

The men will embarrass themselves and they certainly go for it. Like a bull in a chinashop.

Somehow it was all mundane and boringly predictable. We get it, these financial types party hard.

The main essence of the episode is Harper being used in a powerplay.

An offhand comment Harper made about Eric locking her up in the office. It means some people with an axe to grind can go after Eric.

Eric might be Harper's saviour but his behaviour towards her is manipulative. Such as Eric giving Harper a bonus early.

Then there was that weird conversation Eric had with his wife. It was unreal. The kind of thing that could only come from an imagination of a scriptwriter, who is not married.

I do wonder if this eight part series has run out of steam.
