Not bad but not great also!

Those who watch the episode trailer will not like it that much. Elliot's role hasn't been justified as it should have and which is why this episode is more than a filler. Still we get to know more about the supporting cast.

The series starting to grow on me, so far at least...
aurimasvisockis22 October 2019
After episode three, my observation: if the show runners keep this up (the same quality story-line without further straying in to the fields), this might be a decent show. So far, I cannot say anything remotely negative that I did not like about episode three. The show is engaging, it has minimum of forced political narrative (if I should compare it to Supergirl's earlier and some of the later seasons), so far the action sequences in my opinion are getting better and better. So, it has potential to grow... at least so far...

Batwoman

This is an interesting take. I'm glad she is Batwoman, not Batgirl. She's strong, talented and smart. I'm ready for her to stop whining and take charge.

Warning: Spoilers
Three episodes in and I'm still really enjoying this show. Most (but not all) of the characters are really well developed, although Luke and Catherine need more work. Mary is growing on me and Alice/Beth is wonderful. Tommy was a great character to introduce at this point, but I hope this isn't the last we see of him, as he was wasted in Gotham. I'd like to see him become full on Hush eventually, but don't rush it. The black and red Batwoman suit looks great.

Lazy writing

Warning: Spoilers
For god sake, this episode was so horrible. spoiler ->>> The fight scene on the roof was so dumb, the priority should be to neutralize the cellphone and, during the fight, she completely forgot about it. They shouldn't have even fought, she had to stall him for 30s, she could go to the shadows and safely talked to him. But the crown jewel was the Alice "Deus ex machina". And don't even get me started on the "If you kill again..." WHAAAAT??? A SERIAL KILLER IS IN FRONT OF YOU, IF YOU JUST LET HER GO PEOPLE WILL DIE AND WOULD BE YOUR FAULT... AGAIN!!!

The roller coaster ride I am having with this show continues. Having enjoyed the pilot only to be disappointed in episode 2, 3 has brought back the potential I had originally seen. Story seemed far more pallet-able with the inclusion of Elliott. It wasn't all over the place with random cuts here and there. Tone was still off at times but no where near as bad as the previous episode. It felt like I was watching an Arrow episode for better or worse. My hope is the show has hit their stride and isn't an anomaly.

Solid 7/10 episode

Batwoman finally shows its true colors
cameronjames-8695921 October 2019
As a fan of this series so far this episode once again gives me what I enjoyed from the previous 2 episode but improves on the previous 2 episodes. Ruby rose once again kills it as Kate kane/batwoman and the rest of the cast does a good job. Alice finally also does a good job as the villain. The introduction of Tommy Eliot is also very welcomed. The only problem I have with this episode is the kinda rocky start this episode has but once the episode gets going to doesn't stop going. Overall this is the best episode of batwoman yet I can't wait to see where they go next with this show.

The writing is garbage

Warning: Spoilers
1. Alice is clearly a meta as she has teleportation abilities. I can't really explain how else she got from one side of Gotham to the other, and to the top of the tallest building in Gotham whilst it was on LOCKDOWN. 2. Batwoman is willing to ignore MURDER and hand over a career criminal if Alice can promise not to murder someone again for at least 24 hours... 3. There are people in danger of falling to their death but Kate would rather dash to the bat cave, do some repairs, try on wigs, spray paint the costume, and do a montage of putting it on than save them??? She is literally the greatest seamstress / armourer / whatever in the galaxy at her ability to fix up that suit in 5 minutes. Do you possibly think that her years of training at the "lesbian ninja retreat" (quoted directly from the episode) to join the Crows wouldn't be an adequate enough excuse for her having the skills to save them? 5. The bad guy knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, but can't figure out that Batwoman is Bruce's female relative that just turned up in the city?

I really wanted to like this show with Arrow ending and wanting something new to watch but oh my God the writing is so bad I can't bring myself to watch any more of it.

Great

So far this is the best CW DC show, not a bunch of villains every episode, and the story is consistent. I just hope they don't turn it into the flash or arrow with a bunch of superheroes running around.

Warning: Spoilers
This show has been an utter travesty ever since it aired, and it appears that it's steeped to a whole new low. Not only so we have the traditional bad acting, cringeworthy dialogue, and characters teleporting to where the writers need them to be, but the leaps in logic are so monumentally dumb, they completely derail this entire episode. Still can't believe this show got the green light from DC and CW.

Improvement!
jamiulsoldier22 October 2019
1st epispde was okay, second one was better than first episode and third episode was better than both first and second episode. This episode was good, story, acting, action sequence were good. This episode was a good feeling for me but of course BATWOMAN series needs more improvement.

What?
blakemccartney28 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, our main protagonist says something to the statement of "I will need to be better" in relation to Batman, while in this same episode as that line she 1) confronts a serial murderer and gives her an ultimatum of do not kill anyone in 24hrs, after she already knows this person has killed at least a dozen people. 2) While a group of very key characters are literally hanging by there lives, she leaves to get her suit, but not before spending time customizing it to make it different looking, apparently relying on their plot armor to keep them safe as you cannot fight crime without a red bat symbol, bright red lipstick, and a red wig (was that just sitting around the batcave?) How is this show still on with this writing staff???

Terrible.
cruise0130 October 2019
2 out of 5 stars.

Poor writing with cheesy dialogue. Terrible love story and drama with the characters. Poor direction. And a plot that is badly put together. The action was boring.

Bottom of the barrel tier writing.
Ghostcrow_Opin24 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Where to start? There is so much wrong in this episode I really start to think that the writers / show runners are more into identity politics , virtue signaling and stuff like that more than they are actual writers and show runner they just call themselves that.

Alice should have figured out that Kate is Batwoman already. I mean come on, why would Kate show up at the Bat-signal when Alice turns it on?

And if that is by some reason explained because she pointed it towards the Wayne building where Kate was then how come Batman or Batwoman don't show up when they both standing on thew rooftop, or how come the cops are not coming, because a lot of people must have seen that the light have been switched on and it was big news when they turned it of and a crow member got kidnapped etc. Etc.

It gets even worse.

So in the beginning when Alice calls Jacob and he figures out where she is, they for some unknown reason come up with the idea to evacuate the building where the party even though Alice was calling from across the town so why would they have to evacuate the building where they are safe? Oh yes because of bad writing.

Kate leaves the building, but she has no hurry when she is at the bat-cave because she gets the great idea she has to get a wig, spray-paint the suite because her looks is more important than to save lives.

Alice shows up on the rooftop without anyone seeing her even when elevators are crashing down and people would probably be running down the stair bumping in to her right?

I can just go on and on and on but I really feel like one of these mistakes would have ruined the whole episode and they did but when you think about everything they are doing bad it piles up so I could probably sit and write an essay of everything wrong in just this episode.
