Hanna season 2 finale
robfollower6 July 2020
Hanna is still an action-packed romp in its second season, but it also grows into a fascinating exploration of identity, family and loyalty. Hanna has developed into a sharper, more satisfying series in its second season. By showing more of the world of Utrax and forcing Hanna to make tough choices as she confronts how she can impact the world, the series becomes more thoughtful and insightful, while also serving up all the butt-kicking action fans have come to expect. Of course, that doesn't mean the series has revealed everything. The season ends with the introduction of a huge new mystery. For answers, we'll have to wait for Season 3. 9/10

Outstanding FInale!!!
lavatch19 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Episode eight skillfully ties up all the loose narrative ends in the frantic search for and recovery of the list held by Mr. Gelder, which was a photocopy of the names of the young recruits for the UTRAX project. These young people were essentially taken beyond the will and forced through a human trafficking program to endure training that involved brainwashing the victims and turning them as assassins.

It was Carmichael who had a little too much to drink in a meeting at a hotel with Gelder, who snapped a photo of the recruiting list. It is that list that he tried unsuccessfully to pass on to the journalist Nicola in England. With his death, Hanna finds the list in the safe of the Barcelona hotel, then fights her way out of the hotel to bring the list to the light of day. During the gunfire, the Spanish journalist Alda Paredes died while attempting to scamper away with the file.

Outside the hotel, the quick-thinking Hanna instantly recognizes a confederate of Carmichael that she saw in one of Mannion's photos. In the hotel, Hanna had reconnected with Marissa. She now warns Marissa about the strange woman who had assisted with Marissa's escape. But it was all a ploy to lead Carmichael back to Hanna.

Hanna and Marissa are subsequently successful in maintaining copies of the list. Clara and Kat have holed up in an empty house on the outskirts of Barcelona. But when Kat foolishly alerts the authorities to their presence, Leo and Carmichael arrive instantly. "Uncle" Leo is killed in the swimming pool as he wrestles with Clara. From the roof, Hanna kills the strange woman and wounds Carmichael.

It is all but over for Utrax, as Marissa takes charge and directs her ex husband Carmichael to dismantle the program person by person. But the more moving development at the denouement is the reunion of Clara with her mother. They meet in Morocco and embrace in a touching closing moment at the end.

Season Two Review
southdavid14 August 2020
I enjoyed the first season of "Hanna" more than I thought I might, with its strong performances and coherent plotting. The second season expands the universe a little, but without sacrificing any of it's core strengths.

Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles) and Clara (Yasmin Money Prince) have escaped to the forests and though seemingly safe and happy, Clara's desire to find her mother brings her back into the crosshairs of Utrax - now under the control of John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney). The rest of the group of girls are relocated from the base to The Meadows, a former stately home in England which now operates as the next stage of the girls preparations, as they learn cover identities and more advanced tactics.

Across this season we learn more about how the Utrax programme binds these girls together, and to their cause and in the latter half, once both Clara and Hanna have (seemingly) rejoined the programme, we see a mission in action, with multiple assassinations planned for a joint operation in London and Barcelona. It's credit to Esme Creed-Miles' talent that we can buy her almost rejoining the company that is responsible for the death of all her parental figures and she portrays the resignation and resolve at various points across the run really well. It's a similar story for Yasmin Money Prince's Clara/Clemency - who also is in the fold until the enormousness of what she's asked to do hits her. Also deserving of credit is Aine Rose Daly, whose decent from vulnerable child to true believer is a key aspect of the season.

Mirelle Enos is still in this season too, completing the switch to Hanna's protecter in fine fashion. There's quite a bit of violence as the show runs on and the body count rises, and all the action scenes are really well done. The musical choices too are still excellent, as is the cinematography and locations.

I'm really enjoying "Hanna" and looking forward to the promised third season.

Warning: Spoilers
"What now?", Hanna asks.

Well, I'll tell you what now...There better be another season!

I must say that this series ranks up there with Breaking Bad and deserves to continue on for many more seasons.

LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
taxprojoe4 July 2020
I watched season one when it came out in 2 days. I was obsessed with the movie so I knew I would love the show. It was better than the movie. Then season 2 came out yesterday...again within 48 hours, I watched all of Season 2. I pray there are several more seasons to come.

To my surprise, this was a decent episode. And maybe a decent season finale, too.
LegendaryFang5612 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Shockingly, this was a pretty decent episode. As for being a pretty decent season finale, I'm not sure. I find it kind of ironic how the final episode of the season is one of the only episodes, if not the only one, of this season, that is fairly decent. More surprisingly, it wasn't because it was the final episode of the season. It was genuinely decent.

The music choices were pretty good, as well. And I think they played a huge part in the episode coming across as decent. Especially the song that was playing when Hanna and Clara dropped Kat off at the airport and the song that was playing at the end of the episode. Those two songs were good.

But the fact that this episode was decent enough doesn't make up for, essentially, the whole season, which wasn't. And I find that extremely disappointing. Furthermore, I am not looking forward to the third season, even in a sense of hope that it'll be better. At the very least, it could be more exciting, whatever that's worth. But I don't think it'll be as good as it should be to make up for the mediocrity of the first two seasons. It could be worse, even. I'll still watch it, though.

Sandy's survival was surprising. But I'm here for it if she ends up returning in the third season. I never particularly liked her or hated her, but there was something likable about her character, as I mentioned in my comment on the previous episode. Jules, on the other hand, I hope isn't going to be in the third season. And if she is, I hope she gets taken out. As for Helen, I'm indifferent towards her.

Overall, I'm glad that I've gotten to the end of this season. It was quite the ride and not that good of one. But, as I said, this was a decent, final episode, and perhaps the only decent episode of this season, or one of two decent episodes, at the very least. I'm guessing the third season will be back at The Meadows as that was suggested with what Marissa said at the end, and I'm not too sure how to feel about that. Hopefully, it won't be too much like most of this season was in that it'll mostly take place in The Meadows and everything going on in it will be practically the same as it was in this season.

What happened?
AndersSTHLM5 July 2020
This was a waste of television time. I loved season 1 but they killed of the best actor (Hannas father) even if he died in the last season he should have been in here backstory pushing her. This was a weak storyline made for teenagers. The first 4ep was just without any relevance. From ep 5 the series started agen but its to late. This will be the last season of Hanna. This is so sad I really been waiting for season 2. But the story wasn't good enough. I like the actors thay did a good job but it doesn't help with this storyline.

Season 3 will be without me.
searchanddestroy-114 July 2020
I got rapidly tired of this series, more exactly season 2. It's totally different from the first one, which was more adult audiences oriented. This one is exclusively for teens and sissies, where everything is predictable. I am thru with this show. Really. I loved being surprised by what i watch. And here, no way.

Meh
Zedyeti16 July 2020
Season was a letdown and especially the finale. First season was great but it had the source material from the movie to help make it epic. So which direction did they go after that? Teen drama bs like a show on the CW with little action. Sure there was cool moments but so much filler of pointless boring crap. Show went from being something new and different to just another teen drama show like something you find on Netflix. I really do hope they go back to the first season feel for season 3 otherwise I don't see it lasting that long and some of the comments on it seem to agree.

Don't Cry. I Don't Have Any Handkerchiefs.
wandernn1-81-68327413 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This ep. Had potential but there were some what I will just call stupid HANNA moments in it

HANNA, during the ambush/ escape at the hotel couldn't hit Carmichael when he had no cover and she was aimed at him. Yet she's a one shot deadeye on everyone else like at the VILLA when she headshot Grant and turn over the shoulder hit Carmichael while she was on the run firing backwards...... now that...is dumb.

Marissa Weigert yet AGAIN was duped into thinking she had allies on her team...aka GRANT. Weigert is the epitome of uselessness and yet HANNA doesn't just kill her which she should have done AS SOON AS SHE FOUND OUT SHE LIED TO HER ONCE.

Clara should have killed yet another one that she released at the Villa. He died anyway but still, Clara is another useless git in the grand scheme of things. Hanna has some sort of crippled bird syndrome over Clara which I don't understand.

And in the last moments of Season 2, here I am just praying that someone else DIES who deserves to DIE. Will it happen??

Nope. But thankfully, CLARA realizes her priority is reuniting with her mother. And HANNA leaves Clara to pursue that goal, 'FOREVER'. One can only hope.

But of course, it's not really Clara's mother. It's Agent Miller. Oh didn't see that coming. Not AT...ALL.

Weigert puts a skirt on Carmichael. Oh wait. Did Miller really set Clara up to meet her real mother?? It looks that way. WTG MILLER!!!! I did not see that coming. I'll give a +1 Star for that to an anotherwise mediocre silly yet somewhat entertaining 2nd season finale. 5/10.
