A story with a truly pertinent and tremendously tragic situation (the plight of a sweetheart with a taint of madness in her blood), but the author, Emmett Campbell Hall, has side-stepped its logical development for the sake of making a popular offering. The acting is not better than fair, as the heroine is not at present up to the demands of such a role, which is all that counts in it. L.B. Carlton produced it. - The Moving Picture World, December 6, 1913
