Definite high point

Episode 5 is a definite return to top form, once again the use of humour is very well played out. The team investigate Simon Neary, a gangster that Hunt has waited ages to nail. We initially discover Neary's young boyfriend 'Marcus,' great scene when the team discover the suitcase in the hotel room. Once again we see the change in attitudes between the 80's team and Alex to Marcus at the station. Keeley Hawes is totally brilliant in this episode, it's taken a few episodes, but she is finally on top form, some of the scenes with Keeley Hawes and Russell Tovey are really well played out, very sensitively done. I know I always mention the music, but it's great here again, finally we get to hear a bit of Madness. The team's face when they enter the gay bar is very funny. Dan Fredenburgh is very very good as Neary it's worth pointing out. A sad story with a few twists, very very good.

Like it, not a lot but you'll like it

Probably the best episode yet now that Life On Mars is just a distant memory. Great humour; music and outfits plus several familiar actors honing their skills. I hope people have seen the series this far to give it a chance to be a series in its own right even if it is only Dempsey And Makepeace while Life And Mars was gritty like The Sweeney.

Another good episode

This is another good episode of 'Ashes to Ashes', a decent show in its own right, while perhaps not currently as strong as 'Life on Mars' which it was spun off from.

There were some lovely tender scenes between Keeley Hawes and Russell Tovey, and these were actually my favourite moments, though there were some great comedy moments from Gene and co too.

This is an episode that touches on some important themes.
