This is the longest documentary on the DVD of Next(and yes, hence the title... although, now that we know how it all came out, what the word "best" is doing in there is anyone's guess), with a running time of 18 minutes. It is a making-of, going into several areas of production(though in relatively little detail, and is a lot of just "people talking"). This consists of interviews(with main cast and some of the crew... Goldman(who, I guess, figured that with his last name, he was perfect for adapting the source material) tells us that he also wrote the scripts for Total Recall(what do you mean, which one? There's only one of them... shh) and Minority Report, which really makes you wonder why this one came out so poor, especially since the writing is a huge part of the problem), film clips(it doesn't particularly spoil it) and behind-the-scenes footage. It is promotional more than informational, and of course doesn't dare bring up anything negative about its subject matter(however, it does get close, and that is delicious to listen to), including claiming that the "political issues" brought up are treated fairly(eh, I guess by the current standards of American mainstream media, they are), you know, as opposed to being terrified of rocking the boat, getting on the government's radar by speaking the truth. All in all, this is fine if you're interested. I recommend this to fans of the picture, anyone else might as well skip it. 6/10
