"The Hit" is a very short film about three mob characters that manages in a few minutes to reveal the personalities of those characters with current standard tough talking dialogue and appropriate facial expressions. The believable acting supports the outcome as a necessarily fatal conclusion.Eric Galati did an excellent job in his characterization as a mobster boss and actually carried this little film. The hand held camera work fit well for the interior car setting, complementing the black and white photography.Mood and style were fitting for the minimal plot and override the lapses in logic or of plot details that are left for the viewer to discern. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives.
