Superman and Lois has a bright future if they continue this way, it's a great episode but the pacing is much slower
Holt34410 March 2021
Superman and Lois keeps getting better and better, you can really see how much of a difference it is with quality regarding a show like Superman and Lois and Stargirl that has less episodes than say The Flash. That means for more serialized story and that's what I love, and this show does that super well. Focus on character development and world building is always nice to see and needed.

This week's episode is directed by Gregory Smith and he did a great job with the direction and overall feel of the episode. He did many things right and it was mostly the writing that could have been a little bit better, but I believe that the direction that the twins story is taking is the right one if we are thinking the full picture. The plot for this episode has Clark teaching more of his Kryptonian history to Jonathan and Jordan, plus we get to see much more character development for the children and Clark too. Lois does some more digging into Morgan Edge and I have to say that I like these story and character arcs. The creators behind the show wants to tell a big story and having two antagonists is perfect for that, those being Morgan Edge and Captain Luthor. Now three episodes in, we have gotten a feeling of what the show is about and it ain't the villains, but the Kent Family.

The cinematography continues to amaze me, the music too but the most important thing other than the cinematography is the visual effects, they were perfect and a huge step up from the previous episode. There's also a great fight sequence in this episode, the visual effects are a major part of why the scene worked so well as it feels like Superman. They edit it so well. It's the quality a Superman show should have and I'm hooked.

The Superman in the Arrowverse was earlier not that strong as seen in Supergirl and the two crossovers he was apart of, but that have changed in Superman and Lois. Tyler Hoechlin's performance as Clark Kent have always been great but his Superman have always felt worse, but my opinion changed after watching this episode as he have grown in the role and you can truly call him the World's Finest. Tyler Hoechlin is worthy of the cape, he'll hopefully be remembered for his performance as the beacon of hope as I surely will.

The Perks of Not Being a Wallflower(Mar 9, 2021)
robfollower10 March 2021
Peewee Superman Alex Garfin (Jordan) is starting to flower as he shows off his mad skills in football with hip-hop in the background to the group Run The Jewels ! This was an entertaining scene .

I was glad to see the character Jordan nut-up and stop sulking and winning for a bit . I'm sure the teen angst will ramp up once agin soon but this was a fun episode. Superman and Lois is way better than it has any right to be. I am enjoying the show.

I like the series so far but....

Warning: Spoilers
This episode focused more on the twins and Lois than Superman, but Lois's storyline is interesting. However, Jordan is really in frustrating to me. He has good moments especially with Jonathan, but I just feel that a lot of the moments he lashes out it's overreacting over small things and it gets repetitive and exhausting. Since episode 1 we have seen him get mad at Clark multiple times each episode, and it just feels like watching people argue too often for comfort. I like the dynamic of having Lana around and I wonder where they will take her character. The rest of her family is fine. Even though, Sarah's current storyline has kind of been the basic/default storyline for most teen girl characters, she's likable.

Second, this series lacks representation heavily, and it makes me feel weird watching it because it just does not replicate what the world actually looks like today.

Favorite character: Jonathan, he's like perfect and well balanced. The writers did a good job with writing him, he doesn't feel like the average angsty teen that's always in series. I love how he's always looking to help his brother, and I feel that it's important to remember he's willing to sacrifice his own happiness/life to help his brother as we discovered in episode 2.

This show is fantastic

Seriously there isn't an episode that I haven't enjoyed since it started. It gets better and better. The characters here are so relatable as much as they are human, yes even Superman is human here, more than he's ever been. The characters are good, I love them all. Loved Lois Lane kicking butt this ep, she's so fierce. I'm loving her more and more. Clark and Lois are couple goals, they make mistakes as parents but they love their kids so much. Jonathan is amazing: so mature for his age, his bond with Jordan is one of the best parts of the show. Jordan trying to find his place in the world is also believable even if his teenage angst rears up now and then. Clark trying to be a father to his boys while making mistakes and learning from them then saving the world at the same time: perfect.... . And let's not forget the special effects are so good I feel like I'm watching a movie. all around A+ for this show so far. Can't wait for next week.

Better than the recent Flash episode, haha!

Warning: Spoilers
Wonderfully well-done, loads of character development, and more action! It has to be my favorite CW show so far. The Lois-Morgan Edge storyline is super engaging, wanting to see where it goes. You can feel their pain and their frustrations, as this is relatable to others. The bridge sequence nailed it, fantastic CGI. It's so interesting that we get to see more of Clark Kent instead of Superman. The scene where Sarah and her mom were talking about stuff was beautiful and sad. Well done addressing mental health. It's a serious thing. It's cool that we're going to get Season 2 next year. The "what was the most embarrassing thing that you've heard, be honest." line was so funny also the "Elsa's Ice Castle" one.

The actors are perfectly cast and, everyone is much 3D-dimensional than usual characters in the CW, for example, Iris West. I like how the writers are doing with Jordan. I would probably like to see him be closer with Lois. My expectations have been blown out. The guy spying on Lois revealed to be a meta is a good twist, no wonder why he is so strong! This is what I needed.

10/10.

Wow! This show keeps exceeding my expectations.

A solid episode. The family dynamics were on point for both Kent's and Lana's family. Great to see superman going head to head with someone his caliber and the mystery unfolds slowly with appearance of new characters. But really it was all about family interactions and writers are doing outstanding there. Really looking forward. Highly recommended to anyone specially DC and Superman fans.

Let's not get too excited
allnewsuperfake27 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So Superman is rescuing people from a bridge that decided to collapse, somehow, defying gravity, time and logic in any way possible in the process, and since that was very exciting we are just leaving him to himself and instead have ourselves some high school drama, with the girl that does not want to be cheerleader and the boy who shouldn't play football

And yes, that certainly wasn't that exciting, so let's watch Lois Lane having her first day at the local smalltown newspaper, and boom, the Purlitzer stories literally come through the front door 12 seconds later, and that was very exciting, so let's have some more family drama about the girl that does not want to talk to her mom and the boy that doesn't tell his dad that he played football,

.... and shouldn't they all be farming, now that they are having a farm that they inherited so that they could rescue said farm? Why is no one farming? I really need some farming action here.

I guess because they are busy getting almost murdered like Lois since all of that wasn't very exciting, and she gets saved by Superman - I think there's something going on here because you never see her husband in the same room - and that was all very exciting, so we go back to the daughter who now is talking to her mom and the son who is now telling his father about playing football.

And sincce that wasn't very exicting we are going to a cliffhanger that is about the actual story, I guess?

But I can't wait for more Highschool football stories with occasional Superman cameos, maybe there will even be some hand holding (giggle) between the ex-cheerleader and the now-Football player and they will rant and whine in the same monotone voice to their very understanding parents who are going to look very concerned and nod a lot, and if that isn't everything you ever wanted from a superhero series you really shouldn't be watching this.

Okay overall I really enjoyed this episode, from superman and family it was all really good

The one thing that has been driving me mad is Jordan's self pity, he needs a slap of "reality" and to just chill the f out, he is so annoying most of the time I hope he stops complaining soon.

JonyVeana27 January 2022
Great reference with the name based on the (the perks of being a wallflower) movie, i still didn't like Jhonatan its an annoying kid, the girl i don't care for her either, the football team boring, This superman is the second best only behind Reeves, the music and cinematography its outstanding, overall a 8/10 and continuing watching this, it's not my type of show but thats ok.

Filler episode
Turanic11 March 2021
So the first two episodes of this show were drop dead amazing, action packed with good story development, but this episode fails... So in Smallville Clark had to go through all of his problems himself while discovering his powers and trying to keep his secret, in here we have a teen which is sort of stuck in between not being able to do anything and waiting for dad's help , if that is where the show is heading it's a bad sign ...

The Perks of Not Being a Wallflower
Prismark1031 December 2021
This is a very teen centric episode focussing more on Jordan and Jonathan. It actually works very well.

The kids discover the perils of having Superman as your dad. Super hearing means that dad can eavesdrop on your communications even if you are miles away.

Although I did roll my eyes when Superman could hear danger from a bridge collapse in China.

The best bit was Jordan using his superskills when trying out college football. He manages to tackle anyone and everyone. Making him popular with the coaches.

As for Superman, he finds a foe that goes after Lois and he has similar strength as Superman.

That Morgan Edge certainly has something to hide.

The whole show is about managing Jordans feelings.
Roydsy_Reviews11 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Holy Trope-sville Batman!

It's getting worse... Told you the CW would screw this up.

This episode starts of with the old 'family having fun whilst doing a chore (painting)' trope. Jesus this is tired. It's soooooo fun to put paint on each other... Look how alive with pleasure they are! DUMB!

Jordan continues his 'Sookie Stackhouse Stormoffs' and continues to be a complete b-hole surfer. The old 'You lied to me so I'm gonna be an absolute a-hole until I get what I want' is used AGAIN and seems to be more affective agaist Superman than Kryptonite. Jordan is truly the antagonist of this show.

Lana's daughter is also a angsty a-hole. I don't even care what her name is. Probably why Jordan likes her. He sees a kindred spirit.

Lex Luthor from another dimension and 'Generic rich white man bad' Vs Lois Lane constitutes about 20% of the show. The other 80% is about managing the feelings of the worst kid that ever lived. Jordan. What an absolute hole puncher.

What the hell was with the indestructable dude? I was really hoping he was gonna open up his shirt and you'd see that green glow of kryptonite. Metallo!!!!! Alas, judging by the eye beam chick at the end, it appears to be just another 'cloning of Superman's powers' cliche. Random nobodies infused with powers obtained from one of Superman's rogue testicle hairs.

That brings me to another weak overused trope. The old 'kill the henchman that failed', then call someone on the phone and say, "It's done". Probably only the 458th time I've seen this used. Have the writers of this series thought about doing ANYTHING original? Other than focusing a Superman show almost entirely upon teen angst.

Good god. Who is this show for?

The people that are giving this show 10/10 are on the best kind of drugs. They are in a dream state, seeing the world through rose coloured glasses, but can still string sentences together. Amazing!

This is turning into a Teen TV Show
almirfus-109-86948023 March 2021
Unbelievable? Not quite, Is CW after all. There isn't a 2 minutes sequence in the whole episode without showing the very spiteful e problematic sons. And Lana's daughter too. They all bipolar. In one scene they are rude and disrespectful and in the next they look like angels. The name for this? Bad Writing. Gonna try a few more episodes. If they don't change directions I'll quit this.

So 38 minutes of drippy teen drama angst,3 minutes of action.
gareth-7544211 March 2021
Par for the course with these garbage DC shows 38 minutes of teen soap opera drivel with a maximum of 3 minutes of superhero action split into 2 scenes & dropped in at the beginning then the end, these shows are nothing more than false representation, fans of the superhero genre watch this for that reason "superhero", the producers of this boring garbage think that 3 minutes of action will appease those fans, it won't, not the true fans because they see this for what it actually is, soap opera drivel, teen mental health issues, the only mental health issue that need to be addressed in these programmes are that no one wants to work for a living, they all want instant fame & fortune & it's been that way for the past 4 decades since the rise of reality TV, this is yet another DC show full of mindnumbing dross & is far far too much "Lois" & almost zero "Superman".
