Bit like Home Versus Madagascar but not as great as either movie. Kids of a young age will enjoy, just heartwarming and lovely, not too much storyline behind it though.

Wonderful graphics, a decent story but poor characters

The animation and imagery are excellent. The problem is, most of the characters are forgettable. Well, maybe not that, but most are 'borrowed' from established films. (Madagascar?) There are a great, many animated movies that can entertain the entire family. This is not one of them. Young children might find humour in a good many scenes The story is nice and heartwarming. Many of the voice actors are great, but they lack chemistry together. A valiant effort, but falls short of the standard set by Pixar et al.
Boring 🙄

I wish I could say more for this movie, the animation sucks but they added special shading and stuff to make it look good. The plot is awful, and nothing like the old show. The only part I like is when the characters meet the goats.
Kids Love it

Our 2 year old sat captivated by the lively animals and story.
It is nit groundbreaking and I would say it is more aimed at Kids- compared to some other kids movies which are enjoyable for adults too.
Very child friendly so a yes from me.

conquer this

Monkey is distributing bananas to the animals of the jungle. He is shocked to start speaking. Others start talking like Trunk the elephant. The two new friends find Fneep, a young alien from the conquest-obsessed Scaldronians.
It's a South African animated movie. I don't know anything about this franchise. It's trying to be the Ice Age of Home. It starts with good ET vibe but then the alien has schizophrenia of the conquering kind. The whole thing devolves into a mess. The alien threw me off. I just stop caring about him going home or going anywhere in general. It's too bad. The alien design looks cute. There is a possible way to make this fun kiddie movie. This is not that.

The ending and the end credit scenes were the best parts

Its a decent family/kids movie, centre around an alien doing his conquest mission. Very adventurous, funny and entertaining movie. Mediocre musical scene. Animation was okay, sound quality was good, not a fan of some of the voice casting. Nothing to say anything on characters design, just basic animals models and gooey aliens. It stay in one plot and the execution done as expected in a one direct path. But i would say that it have a great touching ending and few funny end credit scenes. Overall a great movie for baby sitting. Enjoy.
Copying "Home"
vrmaggie25 March 2024
It's just a copy of the movie "Home".
Everything from the plot to the creatures is exactly what Home was.
The only added the jungle and the animals.
Is everyone nowadays so unable to create something original that they only can make movies if they copy another movie and just change 1% of it??
The only thing couldn't copy was the emotions that Home was able to create to the viewer. The connection they made you feel to the characters and the plot, the way you were rooting for Oops and the girl that I can't remember her name.
And damn it IMDB, why do you require such long reviews, I'm running out of things to say 😂

"A-MAZ-ING!"

Sweet movie with strong positive family values. My younger brother really enjoyed watching Fneep's journey into the jungle and following his friendships as they developed. The movie includes adventure, friendship, challenging harmful systems, adorable characters that learn to stand up for themselves and each other, familial love and highlights the power of second chances. All of the characters present undergo some sort of change whether it be that they find their strength or find their identity.
Read up before you watch or else you'll be terribly confused

My daughter saw this title come up in our netflix recommendations. The poster looked cute and so I thought, why not give it a try. I know nothing about this movie. Other than it was apparently based on a kids show of the same name. We started out watching it, and it seemed cute, with talking and singing animals. I thought oh this will be like madagascar but the animals are obsessed with music and sing and dance. I mean with a name like Jungle Beat, it's reasonable to think that, right? But, then, all of the sudden aliens got involved and there was a plot line about a lost alien and alien invasion. It threw us off and confused us. So, my advice to anyone wanting to watch this movie, look up the plot first or otherwise you will be terribly confused like we were. Otherwise, it seems like a cute movie.
Jungle Beat The Movie - breath of fresh air
finlayandbusi26 June 2020
Although the movie appears fairly simple in characters, the poignant and important life's lessons are not lost on young kids or old folks. It takes a simple theme of assisting a lost 'alien' to not feel lonely and return him safely to his home (like good friends should do). The simple metaphor of a "warm, fuzzy but pounding intuitive emotion" is clearly explored and will be absorbed from young kids all the way through. This feeling being more important then pleasing a larger peer pressure group, inherited expectations or old fashioned values of the world. When trust is gained, support and love felt, and the feeling that' you are not alone nor the odd one out, magic happens within. The breaking barrier of generational habits, herd mentality and fear is explored in a comedic journey of some simple African animals who know no better or nothing else then to hug, stick together, adventure and have each other's backs. The idea of friendship value systems being true compared to accomplishing pointless quests for the senseless reason of 'it was done this way before' makes this a rather wonderful timed juxtaposition of many kids and adults alike in the 21t century. Head over Heart. Breaking unreasonable tradition for more honest relationships. Mostly that kids have always taught the older generation and times are changing so be open to new leadership and new traditions.
Great family movie!

A Warm Hug Can Save The World in This Family Adventure

In "Jungle Beat," a mild-mannered alien on a mission of conquest brings the power of speech to a group of friendly jungle animals, forming a friendship that will have cosmic consequences. Ed Kear voices Fneep, the uncommitted conqueror, with an emotive sincerity, lending heart and soul to a stand-out character design, wholly original amongst the storied history of cartoon aliens. A purple lump of ooze with arms and a face, Fneep seems to sparkle with cosmic dust, a distinct look that stands out as the star, though the other character designs are certainly not slacking. When joined by his eccentric ensemble of zany animal friends, this team of unwitting heroes will have you rooting for them with ease. Endearing animation, memorable characters and exciting action makes for a family romp that will give kids a new favorite without becoming a chore for the parents to sit through.
Light-hearted, entertaining.

I think I'd rate this a 7 but I don't think the 5.5 rating is fair so 8 it is. I liked this movie, so did my daughter. It's sweet and amusing. I did however think some parts would've benefited from sharper editing (or writing) as they were a little too long.

Although an animated movie originally made for infants/ children their is no denying that the older age brackets can enjoy the charm and clever writing this title has to offer too. Fun characters and a lovely message, well worth the hour and a half watch. Hoping we see a sequel in the near future too.

I like it. It is a good movie. It is not too long. It has lots of characters to make you laugh and sing. It made me have fun and my grandson Jacob liked it too although I don't think he really understood it, he is only 10. I would like to tell who ever made this movie good job. Good job everyone. And good job you for watching this movie with me (although later haha ;). Anyway it is a good movie. Goodnight!

perfect for a lighthearted, family movie night
hannahrodriguezwrite2 July 2020
Jungle Beat is the perfect pick for a lighthearted family movie night. Featuring fun characters and an engaging plot for kids, the film has some funny scenes with various safari creatures and hit on good themes (love, kindness, etc). It especially hits on theme of friendship which I thought was well woven in as the characters journeyed across the Jungle to help their newfound friend.
