A very good final episode.

Discovering what they believe to be a daffodil shaped burn on Gwill's hand, Purbright sets off looking for what was the cause, he also has another death to investigate, the list of suspects gets smaller by default.

It's a very good concluding episode, it's been an engaging and intriguing whodunnit, Purbright has had to wade through treacle to get to the truth, credit to the team behind this one, it's had many layers.

This really is world's apart to the other episodes in the series, it's a whole lot more serious. The only real chuckles come from DS Love's discovery at The Surgery and his ability to hide in plain sight.

The revelation at The Surgery came out of the blue, it gave a whole new definition to the term getting your medicine.

Helen, Gloss, Bradlaw and Doctor Hillyard all do their best to come across as sinister, and likely candidates for murder, in the early stages my money was definitely on Rodney Gloss, the outcome came as a real surprise.

What a shame this was the final episode, a real shame, this show had a lot more mileage in it, Anton Rodgers was excellent as the astute, serious, pipe smoking Detective.

8/10.
