"This is going to be a very boring 18th after all"

Warning: Spoilers
Angus' return is dealt with in a rather perfunctory manner.(He's back and, er...that's it.)It's not entirely clear how Rachel feels about this and while Karl calling her bluff is a great moment, it's completely undermined by the fact Angus is still around for some time afterwards.Zeke sulks as usual. At least Rachel gets some nice bonding moments with Ty and Bridget that go some way to repairing friendships.

We see the end of the Dan/Libby/Sam love triangle...and the beginning of the Dan/Libby/Lucas love triangle.I believe this is what's known as "stringing it out".

And Declan's 18th birthday party.Which seems to be attended by his mum's friends, a couple of neighbours he's never spoken to, two of his schoolteachers and a grand total of three of his school friends. But NOT by his brother, his niece, his sort-of sister-in-law who LIVES there, his de facto step-sister and his ex-de facto stepfather, who turned up for it last episode.Maybe they were all just out of shot the whole time.

Which only leads us to say:How stupid is Declan? He clearly sees Steve pulling away from Nicola so why does he say he kissed her? That last shot would be nicely symbolic...if they didn't insist on holding it for about half a minute, just to make sure we've got the point.
