Great Episode
animefreakeva_123017 December 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was pretty good. I thought that it was a great "before Chrstmas" episode.

The thing with the "virgin birth" was great. Another funny on House's part. And House trying to be "nice" was great as well. I also liked how Cuddy finally got her baby! And wow, where did the thing with Foreman and Thirteen come from!?

I was also wondering what the song was that was playing when the girl got to see her baby. It just made the moment, but I can't figure out what the title is. If anyone knows, please comment! :)

And watch this episode. It's worth it!

NOT a happy episode. IMO.
lnoft978 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Even though it's set during the Big Fat Holly Jolly Merry Christmas season, even though there's some cleverness about House and 'Irene Adler' and the antique medical book, it is not an episode with a happy ending. (for Cuddy, yeah, sure). For the patient? Bullying by mean beeyotches and ending up dead, not so much. I felt so bad for the girl. I never knew the condition could kill you much later.

Not the best episode, but warm and fuzzy
rick-429-63365926 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Medically a fairly boring episode, but it had a lot of warm and fuzzy moments, like House lying about the virgin birth to make the couple happy. As far as Thirteen and Foreman, it's been a couple of episodes coming. Also the the person confused about her sexuality she is BI. Bi means you are attracted to both sexes, not that you're bi, gay and straight. It means that she likes both, she dates both, that the person's sex doesn't matter in her decision of who to date. An unlikely couple and considering I've seen all the episodes we know it doesn't last long.

Back to the show though, it's nice to see Cuddy getting involved in some of the diagnoses though I miss the crazy brainstorm sessions in this episode. Still about a 7/10

Great episode, but...

Warning: Spoilers
I think I know why some commentators objected to the 13-Foreman thing, even though they won't admit it. I don't see why they were blind-sided, the possibility had been building up over a couple of episodes.

The only reason that I'm here is to say how exited I got when I thought there was gonna be an actual character called Irene Adler.( for anyone who don't know Irene Adler was the woman who Sherlock Holmes loved)

A Christmas episode
Khaela1 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Ok let's face it, Christmas episode are generally full of good things. This one is not so suggar coated. Good and bad things happen, some parts are funny like House having a virgin pregnant case and trying to be nice. Life and death are part of this episode too. A good reminder of just awfull kids and teenagers can be. So not a tremendous House's Episode but not a bad one neither, let's say above average.

joy 2 the world??

Warning: Spoilers
i have to say that even though i enjoyed most of the episode, particularly coz of all the huddy moments, the writers kinda ruined it for me at the end with that Foreman - thirteen :S i don't know who had the idea to bring that to the plot of the show but it really sucks, one moment she's bi, another she's gay, and now she's straight??? and dates foreman??? plzzz. Anyway, above all i must say that all of the house moments were brilliants, especially house trying to be nice at the clinic and then coming up with a plan to torture taub & kutner, hilarious!!!

Many different Christmas wishes
brittany-2681914 January 2023
Decent episode, though like most all Christmas episodes, not everyone gets a happy ending. But the happy endings that do happen are good. Wish they would have went more in-depth with the clinic case, I felt like the actual solution was too easy, but House's fake explanation (as a "Christmas gift" to the couple) was clever, if highly improbable (well, in humans anyway).

Also, to @animefreakeva_1230, I know this is about 14 years too late, and I doubt you'll see this, but the song you were looking for that plays at the end of the episode is called "Whisper" by A Fine Frenzy. Shazam works wonders sometimes!

House loves referencing movies this season
smiley-7273524 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
First part of the show House made a reference to the movie Heathers about the girl who is bullied by the popular girls into doing something she doesn't want to do. Loving this season and the little nods to sometimes obscure movies that were great movies and have a cult following. Heathers was released in 1988 with Winona Rider and Christian Slater and a great supporting cast. One of the first dark humor cult films that came out in the late 80's. Also reference Keyser Söze from the Usual Suspects. Played the song Jingle Bell Rocks from the opening scene in Lethal Weapon. Lori Petty makes a guest appearance and was in the great Cult film Tank Girl. Elizabeth Tulloch Was a patient to House who starred in Grimm and she is a virgin and having a virgin birth. She is the only one who has the same DNA as the child and House responds with Merry Christmas. This was a very good episode and really enjoyed it.

Terrible
kellielulu5 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A young woman ( girl ) really is bullied , pregnant and dying but wow Cuddy gets a baby so it's okay?! Getting an older child or baby from foster care wasn't good enough for her.

Disgusting episode. This baby sl ruins Cuddy.

All four grandparents don't want the baby is also unrealistic.

There is no miracle here just throwing away of a teen girl so a woman of privilege can have a child.
