It was a wonderful movies with romantic plots.

IThis is a movie that exceeded my expectations. First of all, culturally, it pays great attention to showing the true and gentle side of Shanghai. It is not only a modern city, but also shows the gentle and profound charm of this city from the streets, bicycles rides at sunset and pedestrians. In terms of storyline, the dialogue between the female lead and male lead is both relaxed and thought-provoking. It is full of ancient Greek philosophical thoughts. In terms of the choice of hero and heroine, it is also very suitable, especially the female lead , who is so oriental beauty and innocent which makes the feeling of this movie very romantic. The plots was not only about love between them but also love in family . The scenes shot in Greece was also full of Greek characters like the taverna by the sea, the kittens , the ouzo, and the beautiful sea and mountains of Greece ... Looking forward to seeing more works from the director.

Not only a love story

This movie was such a pleasant surprise! The two protagonists meet through a teddy bear that becomes the object that will help them express their feelings, externalise their emotions and slowly build their relationship. Music also plays a great part in the building of bonds between Panos and Jinxi not only because the latter is a violinist but also as a universal language that knows no borders.

The smart and honest dialogues between Panos and Jinxi, the humoristic scenes but also the many truths about life, love and human relationships make you identify with the heroes and enjoy every minute spent with them.

The beautiful shots of Shanghai that take you to a distant and unknown destination for many of us help you discover the city through the eyes of a foreigner but also learn so many things and secrets in such a short time through the eyes of a local.

I would end by saying that the play emits a sweet aura that makes you leave the theater filled with emotions but also with a big smile.

Beautifully Realistic!

The movie starts as your typical love story... Boy meets girl, "accidently" using her ex's abandoned teddy bear(!), and then the young couple starts a conversation while walking the beautiful city of Shanghai.

The first minutes of the film feel a bit stiff, as the protagonists (both the characters and actors) have an awkward energy between them.

But as the movie continues you get to really enjoy the effortless chatting, the little jokes and the evolution of their chemistry.

The sceneries and places they visit become more and more interesting, giving you an authentic glimpse of Shanghai.

The comparison to Linklater's Before trilogy is inevitable. But you will get to see that the energy and conversations between this couple, are completely different.

Linklater's heroes are having an intellectual ping pong talking about "heavy" meanings, giving you an impressive to read list.

Here, Panos and Jinxi get to know each other in an a more effortless, honest and sweet manner that doesn't feel like a swordfight.

The relationship the two former strangers create is romantic but also surprisingly realistic and truthful.

At the end, this film leaves you with a bittersweet taste, a mind filled with gorgeous images and the OST's calming melody... It is the perfect viewing for an open cinema these hot summer days.

A natural clean story with no political undertones or hidden agendas

A beautiful love story with some very touching emotional scenes, especially when 2 strangers can bring a daughter and father back together. Shot not only in Shanghai but also in Greece and Austria capturing the beauty of all 3 places.

The script was very cleverly crafted to incorporate conversation between 2 strangers of opposite sex and culture in a humorous way.

I liked that it wasn't a typical sexually provocative movie where people drop their morals but one that deals with old time morals and avoids bedroom and sexual encounters. I was hooked from beginning to end.

The Director was present for our showing but I couldn't stay until the questions and answers. I wanted to know why Shanghai was depicted with so few cars and people. Empty roads and no crowds. My experience of Shanghai is that people are everywhere. Maybe the Government edited and restricted the ugly side of the city to promote a positive view.

Anyway a real fairytale and feel good movie.

This is a genuine, original film very different from others.

I strongly recommend that you watch this movie, it is so calm, beautiful. Original and true. It brings up love, life, thoughts and culture. The characters are coming from different worlds but they fall in love and find a common "place" on this earth to share their existence. Two very different cultures and people that meet and explore eaxh other. I liked how clean and transparent was this film. Iliked tha characters and how they evolved, O loved the setting and the plain but beautiful environment. It is so real and poetic at the same time. Very interesting to watch and I watched it several times. I hope it reaches a wide audience.
