Bit of an odd one this.It opens with Dan having a dream about Libby and Lucas, which is followed by a scene so ridiculous you momentarily think that's a dream too.Much of what follows doesn't seem to make much sense either:Would Libby really skip school to see her boyfriend? Why is Helen recommending the school guidance counsellor as acting head?Is there more to his job than we think? What is Ty doing at the gym?Since when did he have anything to do with the gym, let alone have an intimate acquaintance with the manager?
The Libby/Dan stuff is saved from tedium by a nicely judged closing sequence of Dan and Lucas simultaneously giving their version of recent events.Much better though is Rachel's plot line.Angus begins to grow petulant and self-obsessed and Rachel shows that Zeke's claim that she's no longer her own person is wrong by standing up to him and brilliantly telling him he should try getting some friends. The scene where Rachel and Bridget reaffirm their friendship is a nice moment. And Donna comments grand theft as usual, from her self-aware moment where she notes she gets on people's nerves to her delight at nearly passing an assessment.
