Couple nice laughs from Harry Potter guy. Seems like his character personality returned from what we enjoyed in season 1. Then he goes way over board on some hard stuff in the bathroom. That part seemed little unlikely. He probably would've offered Sean to partake anyway right. What Dottie made in the basement was an unusual twist. She left it obvious for anyone to see including Sean. I agree that this seasons plot seems to be grasping at anything. Let's hope then can end on a bright note. This season certainly has not lived up to the amazing 1st season. I agree with everyone that M night should direct more episodes. Hopefully he gets the last one.

I'm not sure where the standards for this once amazing series went. This episode GOOSE about the Turner family Christmas dinner is actually better than the last two episodes, which were easily the worst of the series, so being better than that isn't a high standard. Julian appears to be a very popular character among fans, but he's easily my least favorite among the 4 main characters. He's basically an overacted clown of a character and delusional fans actually think Rupert Grint's acting is Emmy-caliber! Lol Come to think of it, he might pull it off because the Emmys and Oscars notoriously love to award loud, obnoxious acting instead of nuance and subtlety.
Leanne is fast being dragged down to his level as well due to this disgusting and insipid "love story" the writers have drummed to between them. I find the relationship gross because he's a middle-aged man (and a total mess), while she's a completely daft person with zero life experience and is also about half his age. But I guess like father, like son since this episode also featured Dorothy and Julian's Dad dating a girl (Kourtney with a K, a character obviously riffing of the Kardashians) who is probably even less than half his age.
Also, once again the plot just meanders while a bunch of filler happens, but at least this one had some funny moments as well as nuance in at least the portion of the story, involving Sean and Dorothy, featuring superb acting by Toby Kebbell and Lauren Ambrose. Sean being subtle is no surprise as his character has quietly navigated through his emotions for 2 seasons to get a point of personal belief. He loves Jericho as much as Dorothy except he doesn't advertise his feelings to the entire world, as his wife usually does. Dorothy surprised me with her quiet calm in this one as she patiently waited for her "son" to return. And Sean and Dorothy had this sweet scene on the front steps where their non-verbals spoke volumes. The polar opposite of 1-dimensional clown characters like Julian and Kourtney with a K. But, hey, that's what usually wins awards.

I love Rupert's performance in this, and it is one of the reasons why I watch. He steals every scene.
This episode was definitely one of the better ones during this second season. It was funny. It was creepy. It was concerning.
My husband and I make time every Friday after dinner to watch an episode. This is a big deal because we rarely watch TV together. He's a news, sportsm and WWE affiicionado and yet this show has him hooked.
I was so scared they were going to kill off JuJu's character. I would have been so upset

Leanne and julian their relatnship take another sense. Julian get. Another character is appared as aunt Josephine. The espisode have a new character introduced a the end and its nice to see that. The mysteries are still there with the new character and what she will said to Leanne.
Black comedy

Rupert has a great chemistry with the director in this episode yet again, the visuals and the little spice of black comedy works perfectly. Would be better if more episode helmed by Nimród, instead of the less experienced and medicore directors.
Brilliant!

After watching the previous episode, Loveshack, my expectations for this series went down the drain. This episode made me love the show again! It has a fresh directing style and an actually funny script ... not to mention that Rupert Grint is FANTASTIC! Very excited for season 3.

This is what we mean by lazy writing

If someone is hit by a car 10 feet in front of your house in a dense upscale urban neighborhood, the cops don't make a big deal about it. The First Responders are incredibly discreet, quickly and quietly cleaning up the scene with no flashing lights or sirens so you wouldn't even know it happened.
I guess they wanted everyone to have a peaceful night before Christmas.
