"I can probably kiss my career here goodbye"

Odd that Karl's plot line is given huge emphasis early on and then forgotten about aside from a throwaway remark by Rebecca. It does, however, serve to bring Libby into the know and let her show a more sympathetic attitude towards Karl than she has done lately.

Libby continues to show her sympathetic side as we realise that, while everyone's been worrying about Ringo, no-one's noticed the turmoil Zeke has been going through.Libby actually does a pretty good job of winging it in the interview and if she'd got the job on the merit of that it would have been quite appropriate.Instead she has to depend on a clumsy act of charity from Dan.There's a curious juxtaposition between the over-prepared Libby trying things out on her family and Dan trying out his own more simplistic techniques on a dog that he's meant to be allergic to.

Lucas' behaviour continues to confuse:here it appears that he doesn't want the team to win if it's because of Dan instead of him, even resorting to refusing to kick the winning goal.Interesting that Ty and Ringo are the last ones to cross the line and join him(maybe it's because they're regulars)and it takes a rather convenient plot device to get Steve out of the way so Lucas can make his speech. The explanation for why Paul's at the game seems a bit odd as well:Would a newspaper editor really cover an amateur football match himself? Why isn't Elle there?
