The show continues to waste its time on Pete, the least menacing villain ever. It's a laughable moment when Matt claims he's known to be dangerous.(Almost as laughable as the realisation that Matt is played by the same actor as 90s regular Cameron Hudson.)The guy loses in a fight with Susan, for goodness sake. You do wonder why Susan and Elle don't just wander off and leave him to it, whilst Paul acts dumb, ruining a potential lead by diving in feet first and then acting heroic and putting everyone's lives at risk.
The Dan/Libby/Lucas subplot is normally one of the least interesting things about the show but here the scene at the gym of Dan and Lucas winding each other up, with the symbolism of Dan being unable to lift the weight, is actually more interesting than the main action.Although viewers might be amused trying to work out exactly where Charlie and Ben are with Libby, Steph, Karl, Susan and Ty all occupied elsewhere.
The Ty and Sienna material is a bit lightweight but helped by an endearing performance from Erin McNaught. You wonder why people keep saying Sienna's a bad singer though. She actually sounds all right.
